Hi! My name is Bill Carter and I am a runner. I started running back in 2003 and weighed in at around 215 pounds and had a 36 inch waist. I was a couch potato and most of my time consisted of sitting on the couch watching TV and eating chips by the bagful. My first marathon in '03 was 26.2 miles of suffering as I was certainly not well prepared, but I was hooked on the idea of becoming healthier. It took me a whole year to get up the courage to run another marathon, but this one went better and my running began to pick up steam. I now average 5 marathons a year and just finished my 20th marathon! My first marathon took 4 hours and 27 minutes. My personal best now is 2 hours and 58 minutes and I hope to break 2 hours and 55 minutes this year. By the way, I now weigh 152 pounds and have a 30 inch waist.
