Thursday, January 8
The 6th Thursday Night Road Ride 7 PM, Cafe Medici, 1101 West Lynn All levels of riders are welcome on this 20-25 mile night ride with stops to regroup. Lights are mandatory and helmets strongly recommended. Come early and enjoy some coffee and a snack before the ride.
First Full Moon Cruise of 2009 11:59 PM, Lamar Pedestrian Bridge This month’s theme: Full Wolf Moon - January Amid the cold and deep snows of midwinter, the wolf packs howled hungrily outside Indian villages. Thus, the name for January’s full Moon. Sometimes it was also referred to as the Old Moon, or the Moon After Yule. Some called it the Full Snow Moon, but most tribes applied that name to the next Moon.
Alleycross Race #5 - Shoal Creek trailblazing 7 PM, Lamar Pedestrian Bridge An informal in town race and scavenger hunt, alleycat races are a blast and not to be missed. This one cost $5, and while bags are not needed, make sure you bring lights. A knowledge of the Shoal Creek trail is recommended if you want to finish fast.

Hill Country Ride for AIDs Kick-off Party! 7 PM, La Zona Rosa, 612 West 4th Street In 2008, the Hill Country Ride for AIDS raised over $600,000 for our Central Texas neighbors living with HIV/AIDS. For their 10th Anniversary ride on April 25th, they are aiming to raise $650,000, and we can only do it with your support. Join them Thursday, January 15th for the 10th Anniversary Hill Country Ride Kick-Off Party. Bring your friends, meet other Riders and Volunteers, and sign up to be a part of this transformational event!
