Tips to pump up my bike routine

I usually ride my bike about 10 miles a day down country roads and sometimes 30 miles when Im on a path. Ill work up a sweat and all but my muscles have stopped feeling the burn. Any tips on pumping up the burn factor on my bike routine??

Can you shift gears?. If your bike is multiple speeds, have you tried increasing the resistance by changing gears? That will likely provide a more challenging workout.
