The Uberhood: be cool, stay dry and keep riding. A product review

Welcome sun protection for summer pedaling.
My first year of grad school is at an end, and I've finally had time to sneak in some more product review for my friends at Commute by Bike . The first, with the link to the published review posted here , is for a bike umbrella. The Uberhood, which attaches to the handlebars. One might wonder how much use a cyclist living in Phoenix would get from a bicycle umbrella in a city in the middle of the Sonoran Desert but let us not forget - what protects from rain also protects from the scorching rays of the summer sun. People do indeed carry umbrellas here and it is for that reason! While a bit odd looking, the Uberhood is actually quite serviceable protection from the intense desert sun, providing welcome shade for pedaling city streets that usually lack it.
I've got two other products that will appear soon on Commute by Bike with links posted here as well, so be watching for them. Keep cycling!
