BFF10: Bicycle Film Festival
Austin, December 2- 5, 2010

Its the Bicycle Film Festival’s third year in Austin, and the tenth anniversary of the international Bicycle Film Festival. In tandem with the growth in urban cycling, the BFF has spread all over the world to 37 cities from its roots in New York City into a multi-faceted, international event that travels from Milan to Tokyo, Minneapolis to Sydney.

All Film Screenings will be held at Super! Alright! 301 Chicon, Suite A, Austin, 78702.

Film highlights include:

Friday Dec 3, 7:00 PM: BIRTH OF BIG AIR (Dir. Jeff Tremaine), a documentary on BMX legend Mat Hoffman, produced by Spike Jonze, Priya Swaminathan and Dickhouse Productions.

Saturday Dec 4, 5:00PM: THE CYCLOCROSS MEETING (Dir. Brian Vernor) A film about the currently exploding US cyclocross scene, and the emerging Japanese cyclocross scene.

Saturday Dec 4, 7:00PM: RIDING THE LONG WHITE CLOUD (Dir. Alex Craig) Seven professional skateboarders attempt to cycle New Zealand’s North Island in this beautiful documentary. They experience the Heaven and Hell of cycling New Zealand while traversing the island in search of skate spots.

Saturday Dec 4, 9:00PM: LUCAS BRUNELLE LINE OF SIGHT (Dir. Benny Zenga & Lucas Brunelle) His helmet-cam footage of unsanctioned street races around the globe gives us a unique perspective on the best urban riders in the world.

The Austin Bicycle Film Festival will also play host to • An Opening Night Roller Race (Goldsprints) Competition on December 2, at the Scoot Inn, 1308 East 4th Street,
• A bike polo tournament and BMX demo on Sunday the 5th at South Austin Recreational Center.
• Guided Bicycle rides in and around Austin.
