This past Saturday I got back on my bike. I'll take a brief pause for the silet applause. :)
Anyway, I don't know why it happens, but it seems that after training for major events, I just fizzle out for a few months. I did the MS150 in April and a tri in June and haven't been on the bike, aside from the ocassional spin class, since!
I only went 16 miles, but I felt it. I slept soooo hard that night and was actually sore in my shoulders the next day. I kep finding myself tense while I was riding. First day intensity I guess.
I'm doing the LiveSTRONG ride in Austin so my plan is to try to ride during the week too, in order to bank the miles and saddle time.
