Although the folks at Social Cycling ATX are taking a break from the regular Monday Night Heavy Metal Fitness Ride until the New Year, this ride has become so grass roots that a renegade version is on for tonight. ATXBS is reporting that those who show up to the Lamar Blvd Pfluger bridge tonight at 7 ready to ride by 7:30 can participate in an impromptu version of the weekly ride.

Also left off of Thursday’s cycling event roundup was this week’s edition of the Wednesday Night Road Ride. Ride organizer Daniel Sato will be out of town but has arranged for a special guest ride leader so you can get in a good workout before the holiday feeding frenzy begins.
