Cross training is extremely valuable for all sports and activities. Each will help to support the other, working muscles that might not get attention when sticking to a single regimen. I work out five days a week and constantly change my routines to keep from missing any particular area on my body. At almost 59 years, it becomes essential, or the undeniable consequences of aging will prevail. Cheers,KenWrite a comment:

Couldn't it also be said that weight training would help to reinforce by working muscles that don't get worked while peddling a bike?
