Neon Nineties and Full Wolf Moon rides tonight

Posted Jan 19 2011 12:01pm

Thanks to Jason at ATXBS for reminding me about these two rides happening tonight that got missed on the weekly event roundup . You could call in sick tomorrow and make a night of it on both rides tonight!

Neon Nineties Ride presented by Scott Cannon (Publisher of The Dropout and pedicab bada$$)
8 PM, Wednesday, January 19
Starts at Lamar Blvd Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge
Meets at 8pm at the pedestrian bridge…ride around for about an hour and then off to Red 7 to dance to awesome dance hits of the 90′s. It’s neon nineties people so where neon or nineties themed clothes and get ready to shake your ass. Scott Cannon’s first ride to lead since he came to Austin!

Full Wolf Moon Ride
11:59 PM, Wednesday, January 19
Starts at Lamar Blvd Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge
Full Wolf Moon – January Amid the cold and deep snows of midwinter, the wolf packs howled hungrily outside Indian villages. Thus, the name for January’s full Moon. Sometimes it was also referred to as the Old Moon, or the Moon After Yule. Some called it the Full Snow Moon, but most tribes applied that name to the next Moon. Either way, we ride Wednesday night. Be there at midnight, we leave at about 12:30am.
