Friday Film Fun: Bikes Make Life Better by People For Bikes
Posted May 13 2011 10:47am
Today’s short is a very cool use of lighting to envision a better world created by more people cycling instead of driving. It the film was shot in the capital of car culture, Los Angeles, and was produced by People For Bikes , a coalition seeking a petition of over 1 million Americans calling for safe streets for people on bikes: “We all know that when people ride bikes, life is better. In this short video, we bring this idea to life as riders trigger projectors throughout a city, transforming an urban environment into a vibrant, colorful world. A world made better, by bikes.”
Speaking of cool project, Old Guy on Two Wheels author Tim Starry put together this testimonial about the Austin Yellow Bike Project. It may not be as flashy as the People for Bikes video, but YBP is doing great things every day to empower people in our community through bikes.
You can support the YBP by attending their birthday party and cargo bike raffle this Saturday.
