Previously on Raising Hope Season 3 Episode 11 "Credit Where Credit Is Due", When Jimmy and Sabrina decide to buy a new car that will be safer for Hope, they discover that Jimmy has a rock-bottom credit score that dates back to when he was a child. Burt and Virginia confess that they had maxed out a credit card in Jimmy's name, and plead with their bank representative Dennis to clear his debt, even if it means giving up their new DeLorean.

On this week's Episode title "Lord of the Ring", Burt tells Jimmy that he needs to buy Sabrina a nice engagement ring, even if she claims she doesn't need one, so Jimmy starts volunteering for a series of exotic medical experiments to come up with the cash. Meanwhile Virginia has been pawning her engagement ring for years behind Burt's back to pay for odds and ends. But when Jimmy visits the pawnshop and falls in love with his own mom's ring, her secret may be out.

Entering its third season, RAISING HOPE is the critically acclaimed comedy from Emmy Award winner Greg Garcia ("My Name is Earl") that follows the continuing comic adventures of the Chance family as they raise an adorable toddler named HOPE (guest stars Baylie and Rylie Cregut).

At 23, JIMMY (Lucas Neff) unexpectedly became a single parent. Now his life's goal is to be the world's best dad. Jimmy's parents, VIRGINIA (Emmy Award nominee Martha Plimpton) and BURT (Garret Dillahunt), who had Jimmy at the tender age of 15, don't mind being back in the baby game. They made mistakes with Jimmy, but now with their granddaughter, they finally have the opportunity to get everything right. The Chances live with Jimmy's erratic great-grandmother, MAW MAW (2011 Emmy Award nominee Cloris Leachman). Once the rock of the family, Maw Maw's eccentricities now force everyone to stay on their toes. In her mind, the house is infested with mongooses, she's cheating on her dead husband and it just might be World War II.

Jimmy works at Howdy's Supermarket, which gives him a good excuse to spend more time with his long sought-after girlfriend, SABRINA (Shannon Woodward), a sardonic checkout clerk who has become a constant in the Chance family. Jimmy and Sabrina report to supermarket manager BARNEY (Gregg Binkley), whose quirky attempts at boosting employee morale keep them on their toes.

As Season Two came to a close, the Chance family learned that Hope's serial killer mom, LUCY (guest star Bijou Phillips), had miraculously escaped capital punishment and was preparing to fight for custody of her daughter - that is, until a freak bus accident ended Lucy's life once and for all (fingers crossed!).

In the Season Three premiere, Golden Globe Award winner Tippi Hedren and her real-life daughter, Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award winner Melanie Griffith, guest-star as Sabrina's grandmother and mother, respectively. Also this season, a family member moves out of the house; Sabrina's mom gets a new boyfriend (guest star Wilmer Valderrama); a fundraising competition turns the Chance family into mobsters; and the entire Chance clan celebrates an early Christmas before the world ends - according to the ancient Mayan calendar, that is - on Dec. 21, 2012.

RAISING HOPE is produced by Amigos de Garcia Productions in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Garcia serves as executive producer on the series.

First really smart, funny, well written, and performed comedy in years. As the story progressed it just stayed funny and they didn't have to rely on off color jokes or language. Martha Plimpton (Virginia) is Lucas Neff's (Jimmy) mother. She was apparently very young when he was born because both she and his father seem to be in there late 30's and Jimmy is 23. They live with Virginia's great grandmother maw maw (Cloris Leachman) who is demented, but has lucid moments. Jimmy, his father Burt (Garret Dillahunt), and his cousin have a lawn care business that they try to keep going in spite of lack of ability. Jimmy accidentally saves a young girl charged with murder from arrest, his family catches on, and she's arrested. But after she's convicted and sentenced to death; we find out she's pregnant. After his daughter is born, he brings her home in a prison onesy. His family tries to convince him he should leave the baby at the fire house, but he is determined to raise the little girl. Her mother gave her a rather unusual name (Princess Beyonce), as the pilot finishes her new name is decided on: Hope. This looks like a fresh, and funny new show. Highly recommended.
