We read many x-ray and MRI reports at Executive Express Chiropractic in downtown San Francisco. One thing for sure...the nomenclature used to describe the various spinal conditions varies quite a bit.
When it comes to herniated discs, there has been a big push to standardize the language used to report findings...and it is working quite well (see: Nomenclature and Classification of Lumbar Disc Pathology ).
But when it comes to other spinal pathologies, such as Spondylosis, sometimes it' s hard to figure out what the doctor that wrote the report means.
So...I did a little research and found this excellent article on the always informative www.spine-health.com, entitled:
Spondylosis: What It Actually Means
Check it out...I think after you read the article you should have a better understanding of Spondylosis.
Let me know what you think.
