The pain usually starts behind the right shoulder blade and slowly and eventually (1-2 days, sometimes a little longer) moves around and down to below the scapula and then to the small of my back and then usually goes away. The pain is not constant and not sharp but an intense burning pain that can be debilitating. This is not a constant experience but happens periodically anywhere from a month to six months between episodes.
I have the same problem and wish someone would answer. It starts in the right shoulder blade, burns aches and sudden feeling of a needle going through me. Three days later and I can't bend my right arm..it aches badly. Horrible at night and not getting any sleep. I woke up one morning and this all started. I thought I just slept on it wrong..but the pains much more then that. I have noticed in the past that if I lift anything, it does bother me in that area. Now it's just horrble pain. Someone help!! Not sure if I should use ice or heat?
