What could be the cause of pain on the left side of my neck that causes intense headaches as well a deviated tongue?

I have pain on the left side of my neck and it causes pain to radiate over the top on my head.  The headaches are very intense and ibuprofen just numbs them a bit.  After having these headaches for a few days, I developed a deviated tongue on the left side.
