What are some causes of upper back muscle spasms when x-rays and MRIs show nothing but some arthritis and slight scoliosis?

Muscle imbalances. These can be seen by doing a postural assesment and proper functional testing to confirm these findings. Spasms are a sign of those muscles being over-worked or over-stressed. This happens when your bones and joints are out of alignment and those spasming muscles are being asked to over work in a bad position because other muscles or muscle groups are taking naps. These imbalances can be easy to fix however. Go to www.egoscue.com or get anyone of Pete Egoscue's books to start addressing these imbalances. You can also find free exercise routines here.
