You know how to become fit and healthy: you simply eat good foods, work out on a regular basis, and you cut out all the snacking. There were times, believe it or not, when taking a bath was considered an unhealthy activity. Perfumes were invented for the most part to cover up the smell of unbathed bodies. Of course we found out later that bathing is in fact a healthy activity. But if you take too many baths, you run the risk of washing away essential oils and cells your body thrives on. One time per day is all you need to get the health benefits from bathing. Just make sure you’re using a good soap and try bathing different ways as any way will work. If you use a shower, you are using more water than if you were taking a bath, but you can decide on any method of bathing. Just choose a favorite and keep at it.

How many times have you heard that you need to get regular exercise? The reason that this gets repeated is that it is true. Regular exercise on a consistent basis is important. You must move regularly. Movement spurs energy. Your muscles will not allow you to do what you need to do if you do not use them regularly. Regular exercise keeps the blood flowing and your organs functioning. You do not need to exercise just for the ripped look. Exercise because you want to be healthy.

Set aside down time for relaxation. This doesn’t have to mean going to sleep (but if you aren’t getting enough sleep at night it can certainly help). This time should be used to de-stress. It could be as simple as spending time watching TV. Or it could be used to go for a relaxing walk. This time could be spent taking a nice hot bath or reading the next chapter in your novel. The bottom line is that you have to get a handle on daily stress before it gets a hold on your health.

There are many things that can be done if you want to keep as healthy as you can. This will include the right diet and fitness regimen and all other aspects of your life. Reducing your stress, finding time to relax, regular bathing-it all contributes to your health and fitness.
