Osteoarthritis, otherwise known as Spondylosis, is one of the most common arthritis of the spine.
This is a general term for degenerative disc disease, fractured or compressed vertebrae.
Classic symptoms include pain and numbness in the back, neck, head and shoulders. Symptoms vary from person to person as do the frequency and the intensity of the pain.
Spinal Stenosis is different from Spondylosis as this refers to a specific condition affecting the spaces between the vertebrae.
This causes a narrowing of the spine which is caused by bony over growths in the spinal column which then narrows and presses on the nerves housed within it.
Pain can be felt in your low back, numbness in your legs and constipation and possible urinary incontinence.
