Painful lump in lower left side of back

I have a painful lump in lower left side of back (tender to the touch) accompanied by lower back pain. It is not at the spine, but about 2 inches away and feels like a knot or lump of cells (like a cyst). I've also been awaking with night sweats. Any suggestion as to what this might be?
