I was in a car accident in 2007 and had a c1 fracture. I did not require surgery and was in a hard neck brace for 10 weeks and a soft neck brace for two weeks. Every once in a while since my accident, I have had pain at the site of the fracture. I don't know if this is serious or common for this type of injury.
