I wake up several times during the night, sometimes about 4 or 5 times, and the only way to get rid of it is to get out of bed and walk around with my arm next to my side. I have been having back problems as well. Are they connected? What is going on?
Do you sleep with your arm over your head? I had what is called a cervical rib and when I slept with my arm above my head, the blood flow was cut off to my arm. It was only on the right side, because that is where the rib crossed my collar bone. I did end up with surgery and all is well, no more numbness.
