I have degenerative disc diease along with disc problems in my lower back. This pain had gone into my right hip and down my leg as far as my knee. My hip would lock up upon standing and was painful walking stairs. My leg would bother me when I was sleeping as well as awake. The doctor tried muscle relaxers and an anti inflammatory medication, both of which bothered my stomach (even when taken on a full stomach) and also made me dizzy and light headed. He has now prescribed Methylprednisolone. I have taken it for two days and my hip pain is easing up. I will be taking it for the next three days until I am down to the final one pill dose. My question is....will the pain return after I am done with the prescription?
