Is tinging normal when swimming given my back condition?

Posted by symbios2

I have a bulging disk at L3-4, DDD at L 4 with loss of disc height and disc vacuum phenomenon;  grade 1 degenerative spondylolisthesis of the L3 on the L4 with no pars defect;  No fracture;  mild right upper lumbar scoliosis centered at L1 & L2.. and mild concentric disc bulging and facet joint hypertrophy at L2-3, with no significant canal stenosis or thecal or root compression and more mild concentric disc bulging and marked facet joint hypertrophy at L3-L4.  [Sorry but that is the MRI report].  Any how, I go to physiotherapy and try to do yoga and do not have significant pain, just vague discomfort.but i have irritating tingling in both feet and occasional muscle soreness in the calves..  What really scares me is that I went swimming today and had to stop because the tingling in both feet in exactly the same spot was so intense and my toes were hurting, especially the third and fourth ones,  So, given the MRI results Is it dangerous for me to go swimming?  Since returning from swimming my hip bone on the left side is aching mildly.  Am I exacerbating the back problems by swimming or is this normal.   I often swim but haven't been for the last couple of months because I'm have tennis [or computer] elbow.  This is the first time the tinging feet has interfered with swimming.  Sorry this is long winded.
