Diets that include certain foods will increase inflammation. Fatty meat, chicken skin and farm-raised fish such as tilapia and catfish have more inflammatory compounds than not. Also packaged foods, grains and various oils also increase inflammation. This is because they contain Omega 6 fatty acids.
Omega 3 fatty acids help to decrease inflammation and improve health issues. Increasing your intake of Omega 3 to a ratio of 1:1 to 4:1 omega 6 to omega 3 will make you healthier than the current average ratio of 20-30:1. The excess Omega 6 in proinflammatory.
