if i eat the left side of my face & neck starts to swell ache & is very painful. it leaves a lump all down the side of my face

That sounds similiar to my condition and I was told my salivia glands have a narrowing in them and I have found taking an antacid pill or tablets helps. Does your jaw swell from your ear under your jaw? Mine does and sometimes it is an infection and you may need an antibiotic.
