I took a vicodin for back pain and an hour later started jerking my head uncontrollably. what happened?

I have taken vicodin before (one pill weeks apart) and have only experienced slight nausea. Today I became extremely hot and sweaty, my vision was blurry, and my head was jerking forward and back violently. This last for several minutes and then subsided.
