The dizziness can definitely be due to the muscle. One specific example I see is the SCM muscle. This muscle attaches near the ear and when spasmed or tightened can irritate the balance centers in the middle ear. Also the upper neck is very rich in nerve supply so severe neck issues can cause a number of neurologic symptoms. Most likely if you resolve the
neck pain you will fix the dizziness.
