i have upper back pain right near the center of my upper back when i tilt my head back, or turn my neck either way whats wrong?

all the pain started after lifting weights at the gym. probably after doing squats.

If i had to guess (im not a doctor) i would say it sounds like you have facet joint inflamation of some sort. Possibly a pulled muscle in that region is causing the inflamation and is putting pressure on the facet joint nerves. Try ice or cold pack for 20 min. then heat for 20 min alternating, maybe add an NSAID (Tylenol, Motrin, etc.) and rest for a few days. If it does not settle down after a few days, go to see your doctor.
