Herniated Lumbar Discs?

Posted Jun 02 2009 4:34pm 3 Comments

San Francisco Chiropractor and Herniated Disc Doctor comments on the benefits of Nonsurgical Spinal Decompression with the DRX9000 for Lumbar Disc Herniations:

Md_news_photos_011 Have you been diagnosed with a herniated disc in your low back?  If so, you may have been told you need surgery. Chances are...if you know you have a lumbar disc herniation you have had an MRI.  An MRI is the gold standard (diagnostic test) for confirming the presence of herniated discs or bulging disc in the spine.

Maybe you have tried anti-inflammatory medications and pain killers. Maybe you have tried chiropractic care or physical therapy. Maybe even cortisone injections...OUCH. But...the problem is still there! So...NOW WHAT...Because You Don't Want Back Surgery?

Well...You may be a candidate for nonsurgical spinal decompression with the DRX9000 lumbar decompression system. Spinal Decompression is kind of like traction, except that it's fully computerized and is able isolate on specific spinal segments...say L5-S1 vs. pulling on the entire spine...which could hurt someone with a lumbar disc herniation.

The bottom line is that the DRX9000 is a $100,000+ machine that is able to treat lumbar disc herniations without surgery...and I have one at my San Francisco Spinal Decompression Center.

The best way to find out if you are a candidate for nonsurgical spinal decompression on the DRX9000 is to bring your MRI films/report to a DRX doctor near you and get checked. Not everyone qualifies medically. But if you's sure worth a shot.

If you would like to find out if you are a candidate for lumbar spinal decompression therapy with the DRX9000 at my San Francisco Herniated Disc Center...please call 415-392-2225 and ask for a complimentary DRX9000 evaluation. Chances will be glad you did.

I use both because patients insist on it after watching Oprah or reading lies in the paper. I also charge $45 for it. FD is the gold standarard and is the proven way to manage a disc non-surgically. Glorified traction at 250 bucks a pop is criminal and I won't do it. Sure it augments the FD and may improve outcomes, but this has yet to be proven. It also says alot that insurance won't cover it, unlike FD. Everyone has the right to practice the way they wish, I just don't make it a habit of ripping off patients.

BTW: Ever wonder why they are selling SD machines on E-bay by the dozens for a song? I do, because they don't work as advertised. Get yourself a good COX table and you won't look back. As you said before, I owned both Spinal Meds, DRX's and the rest, they don't come close to the results you get from F/D. It's a lot cheaper too!

Traction didn't work 50 years ago, so why should it work now?

Hi Doc, Thanks for feedback. What you describe has not been my experience.  And, I find this interesting considering you have a DTS spinal decompression machine on your site.

Being a DC for over 20 years, the DRX, DTS, Spinal Med and other rip off devices are nothing but glorified traction units that costs far too much which insurance will not pay. It is a Dog and Pony show, F/D is the gold standard for SD and should be the first line of clinical application. Anything else and you are just ripping off the patient to pay for your new toy.

I hope your happy being uneducated in the art of disc management.
