Here is a summary of my daily back maintenance routine (for the week):

M, T, Th, F

  • QiGong, 30 minutes in the morning
  • Kettlebells, 30 minutes in the afternoon
  • Light stretching, 10 minutes before bed

W, Sat:

  • QiGong, 30 minutes in the morning
  • Janda situps, 10 minutes in the afternoon (this is new!)
  • Brisk walk, 30 minutes in the evening
  • Light stretching, 10 minutes before bed

Sun

  • Light stretching, 10 minutes before bed

So just over an hour a day  (most days)- not too bad an investment!  In fact, this covers all of my physical fitness needs – strength, power, cardio, flexibility, mobility, energy flow, balance – and back health!
