San Francisco Vegan Chiropractor, Healthy Lifestyle Advocate, and Chronic Back Pain Doctor comments:

U127660561 I was watching a show this morning about how our arteries can become brittle and filled with plaque over time, from poor diet, stress, and lack of exercise. Throw smoking and drinking into the mix and a 35 year old can have the aorta of a 60 year old in no time. In fact, the medical doctor that was hosting the show had real aorta specimens from cadavers to prove his point. He said it's just amazing that we hold up as well as we do, considering all the garbage we eat, the stress we expose ourselves to, and our lack of exercise.

Then, the show went on to talk about a whole bunch of other disease processes, such as cancer, asthma, stroke, degenerative disc disease,  and spinal degeneration. The host pointed out how the diet that most Americans eat is loaded with processed carbohydrates, fats, and sugars...And, how this kind of diet causes inflammation of the arteries, which can lead to heart attacks and strokes, as well as other diseases, including osteoporosis and spinal degeneration. He said he could not understand why people would eat food that was killing them. He said that food should be for nourishment, and regeneration, not the opposite.
