Cervical Artificial Disc Surgery or Spinal Decompression?

Posted Jun 02 2009 4:34pm

San Francisco Chiropractor and Herniated Disc Doctor Comments:

Scm_0811 I just got through reading a very interesting article on the excellent www.spine-health.com website entitled Cervical Artificial Discs: Valuable New Technology Or Fashion?   When I was through reading this it made me really appreciate the nonsurgical spinal decompression services that we offer at my San Francisco Decompression Center.

Sure, it is really great that science has figured out how to make these artificial cervical disc implants...but I just wonder how many people will have this procedure that could have benefited from cervical decompression with the DRX9000c?

I know first hand that not everyone responds to nonsurgical spinal decompression...but it sure seems like the majority do...and for those that don't, they are still left whole and can try other things.

I'm sure these artificial cervical discs will serve many patients well...I just hope they don't get over utilized. In my opinion (biased of course), I think patients that still have enough spinal disc material to work with (and qualify medically),  should consider the DRX9000c cervical decompression therapy before they have surgery.

Attention SF BAY AREA Residents:

If you have herniated  discs in the neck, and want to find out if you are a candidate for nonsurgical spinal decompression with the DRX9000c...please call 415-392-2225 and ask for a complimentary spinal decompression assessment.
