Can Cervical Decompression help Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

San Francisco Spinal Decompression Doctor Comments:

MD News Photos 010Nonsurgical cervical spinal decompression can' t do a whole lot for true Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS)...but it can help with most Carpal Tunnel SYMPTOMS.

Here is a list of the most common Carpal Tunnel Syndrome SYMPTOMS:

Arm and Hand Pain. Wrist Pain. Numbness & Tingling of the upper extremities. Weakness of Grip. Night Pain. Sometimes the pain radiates from the hand up the arm into the elbow. Other times there can be pain all the way from the hand to the neck.

But here' s the deal...YOU GET THE SAME SYMPTOMS WITH CTS AS YOU GET WITH PINCHED NERVES IN THE NECK!

So how do you know if you have CTS or say a herniated disc in the neck? You don' t, unless you get checked by a CTS/Herniated Disc Doctor and then have the diagnosis confirmed by MRI.

What if it is a herniated disc in my neck and I am a candidate for nonsurgical spinal decompression...will this help my Carpal Tunnel SYMPTOMS?

YES...Most Likely. If it is determined that you do not have true CTS...and your CTS SYMPTOMS are from a herniated disc in the neck...nonsurgical cervical decompression just might be the solution you are looking for. Sure, decompression wont help every single person that does it...but nothing will.

Cervical decompression is just a smart choice...because it is safe and gentle. If it doesn' t work you can consider more invasive treatments...that' s what I would do.

If you would like to find out if you are a candidate for nonsurgical cervical decompression at our San Francisco Spinal Decompression Center...simply call 415-392-2225 and ask for a complimentary consultation. Chance are...you will be glad you did :)
