can a pinched nerve in my neck be causing tingling in the back and top of my head

Quick answer: Yes.  These kinds of sensations are controled by our nerves.  Alot of the time nerve pressure in the neck can cause headaches.  However it can cause other sensations too.  Pressure on one of the higher nerves can cause various sensations.  Pressure in the lower cervical nerves can cause tingling in the arm.  Also, muscles in the back of the neck can be irritated putting pressure on other nerves as well; for example your occipital muscles that attach from the back of the skull to the 1st two vertebrae.
