Now that the laptop battery has been fixed, I can finally blog about Leslie. Her birthday was on the 18 th and she turned a whopping 26! We joke with her that she is almost 30!! Hehehe
Leslie is one of my closest friends and my niece. We are close in age and we have children that are close too. JoJo even thinks of Michael as his dad, which is always fun to see people's faces when we are all out together and there are 2 moms but 1 dad. lol I really don't think of her as my niece though. She is more like my sister.
Leslie has been with us through the good times and the bad. She was there when we heard those horrible words "Your child has autism" and she stuck around. She has learned ABA , diet , medicines, RDI and tons of other stuff. She has never shirked away from Logan even when he was at his worst (like flipping out at the children's museum ). She has stepped up and done things that were never asked of her. She saw what needed to be done and did it. Sometimes, she does things that I haven't even thought of doing yet. She has always done stuff for me without complaining or even questioning why? She is one of the few people that I can totally trust with both kids and not have to worry about diet or meds or anything. She has rejoiced with us in Logan's successes and has cried with me over our failures. She constantly reminds me that I can do all things through God.
Where would I be without Leslie? Nowhere! My life would definitely be duller and less happy. I am a better person just knowing her. She blesses my life in unimaginable ways and I am happy and proud to call her friend. I am so thankful for her because I know that Logan would not be where he is today without her on our team. I will never be able to express what her friendship has meant to me during those dark years. She was my lifeline. Thank you Lord for sending Leslie! Thank you, Leslie, for everything!!! You rock!
