Posted Feb 12 2011 6:12pm
Children celebrate Valentine’ Day as a day of friendship. So while your tongue is healing from helping little Fred or Mary seal 34 V-day envelopes for their classmates, and you’re planning your fab night out, treat the kids to some holiday-inspired shows on the tube.
ON PBS KIDS
The kids are in for a treat with two Valentine’s Day specials featuring the the world’s biggest and most lovable dog, Clifford.
Why did Clifford grow so big? Because Emily Elizabeth loved him so much. Clifford wants to express his love for Emily by creating her the perfect Valentine. It doesn’t go quite as planned and Clifford learns it’s not presents that mean the most to Emily.
“Cleo’s Valentine Surprise”
With some help from K.C., Cleo goes overboard preparing a special gift for Clifford and T-Bone. When she doesn’t get a big gift in return, Cleo learns to recognize the joy in giving. A valuable concept for everyone.
