The boys were thrilled last night to attend the 33rd Annual Veterinary Carol Service in UCD in aid of the Irish Guide Dogs ....

The students and staff of the Veterinary College were amazing - the singing was superb, there was Irish dancing which Murray really loved, their 4th year skit was hilarious and the band were pretty amazing too!

There are lots of foreign students studying veterinary science in UCD and it was lovely to hear Christmas messages from some of these students in their own languages.  French, Spanish, Italian, Finnish - it added a lovely touch to the evening.

The boys sat very quietly throughout the performances and Murray was very good because it was a big hall with lots of people but he coped really well with Clive beside him .....

Outside we met some of Irish Guide volunteers and puppy walkers .....

Murray was very excited to meet Patrick Costigan with his guide dog Quandro as Quandro is even taller than Clive!  Patrick was very good and let Murray hold Quandro's harass for a few minutes.  Clive meanwhile was enjoying the attention of some admirers himself .....

The majestic Quandro - he is such a beautiful dog .....

Puppy in training Willow came over to say hello to Clive and Murray!  Unfortunately Clive is not very good with the young puppies in training ....

Clive paid no attention to Willow ....

Willow was just looking for someone to play with .....

But Clive just kept ignoring her!

Poor Willow!  She is a lovely little pup and we're sure she'll become a fantastic working dog one day!

Clive and Murray were very pleased to meet puppy walker Noreen there with her current puppy in training Quipps!  Noreen has puppy walked for many years and it is always a pleasure to meet up with her and her current puppy in training!

Another lovely puppy in training we met was Purdy ....

We were very impressed with this beautiful cake that was made by one of the staff of the Veterinary College and was auctioned in aid of Irish Guide Dogs ....

Towards the end of the evening Murray got very excited when he spotted a young man with hair that he said was 'just like Clive's!'.  In fairness, Izzak was brillant and actually agreed that his hair was very 'doodle' like and he very happily posed for a photo with Clive.  Murray was thrilled!

We didn't actually get Izzak's name last night at the Carol Service so we want to thank one of his friends who  liked Clive's facebook page today and told us his name!  Murray was very happy!

Finally, we just want to say a huge thank you again to all the students and staff of the Veterinary College in UCD.  Their continued support of Irish Guide Dogs is very much appreciated and their Carol Service last night was one of the most enjoyable evenings the boys have had in a long time!
