I had the privilege of attending the conference this year as a volunteer…because that is the only way I could afford to go. It was my first conference.
I learned many things, and I will be going over notes this week, and contacting my doctors. I learned that I am administering the b12 injections improperly. I was torturing my little guy! I am happy to say that I will be getting the right needles for him, and even keeping the b12 formula in the fridge!
The first two days I was volunteering, and then yesterday and today I made an attempt to get to the conference….
Driving thru traffic in D.C and then Baltimore is a headache and half. But it was worth it. I brought along all 4 of my kids and they liked to se that there were so many people willing to help in the fight against Autism, and the treatment to reverse it.
Yesterday i brought my kids to the sensory room, in hopes of getting to watch the lectures on a screen TV, in the room with my kids…because the babysitter was unavailable that day…
The screen had been broken, and to compensate the leaders of the conference decided to get me a copy of what I missed and so now i get to see the Dan conference in my home, on DVD!. What a blessing this trip has been, and the information that I have learned has been very beneficial.
I learned that if I want to have any more children, I need to detoxify myself, and build up my immunity so that I won’t have any children that are susceptible to what Autism brings.
I met some people that can help me and my son. I will be better equipped to fight for what He needs. I listened to many different doctors who aren’t after money from overzealous parents willing to try anything. I listened to Parents of Autistic children, and how they turned from their own private practice, to that of helping these children that can’t think straight.
I am thankful for the babysitters that I did have to be able to go, and gather information that I will use in my sons recovery process.
I learned that Lee Silsby Pharmacy prescriptions are covered by Tricare, and that I can get Isaacs vitamins for about 3 dollars. I can also get Enhansa, and b12, and other items as well. i am so excited because this is one of our pay outs for Isaacs medical care. The supplements are very expensive, it adds up every month, and often I have to alternate days to stretch of his supply.
