MPs will say anything for a vote.

Posted Nov 17 2008 6:16pm

At heart I am a peaceful person, except like any parent when I have to protect my child, or fight for his basic needs.

I have fought many battles for my son, and won. It is very wearing, but what choice does a parent have? Any parent.

For my biggest battle I used my local MP, I went to see him, explained my situation and asked for his support. He said ‘ I don’t see the point of spending money on your son as he is not going to amount to anything’ I sooo nearly hit him. He then went onto say ‘But my position is to support local people so I will write you a letter’ And he did.
He has since resigned.

That is their job, and it is away of educating the government to our needs. So don’t be afraid to use them. Local councillors’ to. Even if they do say stupid things (i am being polite using the word stupid!)
And people wonder why us parents end up with attitude!
