Today was a day that I have been looking forward to enjoying for a while now. Today was Nathan's first Christmas. Not his very first Christmas of course, but the first one that we've been privileged to share with him. There was a moment today when Tony picked up Nathan and squeezed him tight telling him how happy he was that he was enjoying Christmas so much more this year. I think the image of him standing and staring at the wall on Christmas Day is one that will be etched in our minds forever.
The picture above is Nathan praying before opening presents this morning. I am in awe of how far God has brought him in so short a time. I dance in the light of the blessing He has poured on us. The dark days are only a memory in our minds as parents and serve as a reminder of all that God has done! I don't know what the future holds, but God has been faithful and I trust that He will be faithful still.
You changed my mourning into dancing; you took off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness. With my whole being I sing endless praise to you. O LORD, my God, forever will I give you thanks. -Psalm 30:12-13
