Happy Cinco de Linco!

Posted Sep 05 2009 10:11pm
Every 5 th day of a new month, Jeanne over at does CincodeLinco. She explains it so well here:

So, here’s the bottom line: The kids onLend4Health.orgneed your help. They need you to read their stories and chip-in $5 loans, or more if you’re feeling über generous. There are currently 4 open loans on Lend4Health, 4 loans for 5 kids. These kids need your help, your $5 loans!

For the past year plus,L4Hhas been facilitating loans for individuals on the autism spectrum to help their parents pay for costly treatments that are not covered by insurance. These loans are changing the lives of these children. The loans give the children a chance for a better life, a better quality of life, happiness, and better health.

You know how easy it is to loan a friend a few bucks for a coffee, for a beer, or for lunch right? Well, it’s just as easy to loan a few bucks to a child in need. Just Read the stories of the kids with open loans. Choose one, two, or all of the kids and make your loans. It’s that easy.

We have been personally helped by this concept. Remember that was how we got the loan to pay the deductible for Logan's ot /pt sessions. That one loan changed Logan's life. He can ride his bike now. He runs upright instead of hunched over. He can catch a ball and throw a basketball toward the basket correctly. All things that were unheard of last year and would not have been possible without that original interest free loan.

So, I'm asking, no begging, everyone who reads this blog to go over to Lend4health ( ), pick one of the open loans and make a $5 loan. Skip one lunch out this week , skip your morning latte, whatever. Use that money to change a child's life. Oh, and remember, it's just a loan. You get your $5 back at a later date. You literally have nothing to lose!

In honor of my beloved sister's birthday today , I will be donating the $ that corresponds to her age (I'd tell you but she'd kill me. Let's just say that she is older than me and I am 36.) to loans at lend4health in her name. Love ya Tami and Happy Birthday!

I promise that next week we will get back to Sibling Saturday! Promise!
