I love summer. I love tanned skin, the smell of sun tan lotion, eating too much watermelon, sitting on blankets having picnics, summer BBQ’s, the sound of crickets after the sun’s gone down. I love not having to wear shoes to go get the mail, and feeling the cool grass under my toes. I love swimming for hours and coming home with that exhausted-comfortable feeling you get after that much time in the water. I love going camping, I can almost smell the roasting marshmallows and the smokey fire. I can’t wait for cool summer evening walks, hiking in the mountains, Pasta Salad, and corn on the cob. Most of all I am excited just to sit outside and soak up the heat. I am so happy its almost here.
I have so many good memories of summer. I hope I can make just as many great ones for my kids!
