(Mont Blanc, not Everest! Mea culpa. I can barely climb my stairs.. KS)
Would you climb a mountain for your son or daughter? Paul O'Neill and a group of friends have reached the summit of Mont Blanc to raise money for our sponsor NAA . We think that makes him a Father Warrior. You can make a donation at the First Giving Page HERE . From Paul:
WHO?
Myself and three good friends, Paul Meyer, Steve Hancock & Paul Sylvester, aim to climb the Mont Blanc from the French side. We are not experienced climbers and for all of us this is an incredible and daunting challenge.
WHAT?
The Mont Blanc, meaning 'White Mountain', is the highest mountain in Western Europe. It rises 4,810m (15,781 ft) above sea level and is the 11th highest peak in the World !
WHY?
My son, Finn, and hundreds of thousands of kids like him, and their families, face an enormous challenge as they fight daily to cope with and hopefully overcome AUTISM.
Finn is fortunate that after a decade of commitment by a small but dedicated group of doctors, therapists and the community of NAA, who are all striving to find new treatments and therapies, he is more able to share his beautiful self with all of us.
Inspired by Finn and all who have helped him, I want to give something back, and like Finn, I am lucky enough to have the support of some great friends.
WHEN?
Between July 6th and 9th we will give it our all to make it to the summit of Mont Blanc to draw attention to and raise funds to support the heroic work of the National Autism Association.
Please consider giving as much as you are able; no donation is ever too small and every dollar will help the NAA to make a difference for many kids who are not yet as lucky as Finn.
THANK YOU!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might also be generous enough to support this cause.
