Clive and Murray supporting Irish Guide Dogs at the Dublin Horse Show .....

Posted Aug 04 2011 5:29pm

The Dublin Horse Show is on at the moment. As they say themselves "The Horse Show is a Dublin institution. A celebration of Ireland's affinity with the horse, the Dublin Horse Show has the best show horses and the best international show jumpers compete for honours. It is one of Ireland's largest events, a highlight of the summer, each year welcoming tens of thousands of people from Ireland and all over the world" .  There are also lots of stands there including one in aid of Irish Guide Dogs ....

Clive and Murray were there yesterday meeting lots of people and talking to them about the work of Irish Guide Dogs. We met some particularly nice people and we want to say a huge thank you to all of them. We really enjoyed talking about Assistance Dogs and how they help children with autism and Murray loved talking to everyone who dropped by.  Murray and Clive were thrilled to be part of several days of fundraising and awareness of Irish Guide Dogs at the Dublin Horse Show.

They even got to see some of the horses before they left ....

The Dublin Horse Show is on until Sunday. If you're at the Show - make sure to drop by Stand C15 and say hello to the staff, volunteers, puppy walkers, guide dog owners and assistance dog owners who are there ....

ps-many thanks to the car park attendants who didn't insist on Murray's Mom having to pay the daily €20 car parking rate when she was only going to be at the show for a couple of hours and was fundraising for Irish Guide Dogs.  They took her car keys so they could move her car if need be and let us park free of charge!
