Information: It's late and so this is going to be quick and in my own terms. Chelation is getting heavy metals out of the body. It can be done intravenously, orally or transdermally.
Link:Lend4Healthhelps families affected by autism by facilitating micro loans to families in need. This website was set up by a mother named Tori that I have talked to many times and admire very much.
Diet/Biomedical Info: We order a lot of our supplements from Kirkman Labs. I like them because most of their supplements are GFCFSF and I like working with companies that know about the world of autism and what is important to me.
Personal Story: This is more of an update than a story. We are doing a round of DMSA this weekend. This is our current method of chelation, although I read that DMSA is no longer being offered as a supplement so I will have to talk to our DAN to see if he is going to start prescribing it. It has brought on the usual irritability, a tiny bit spaciness and I suspect in about 2 days I will report that he has been scared again. Last test showed that large amounts of lead is still pouring out of him so we're on the right track. Thursday is our DAN appointment!
