Awesome, a PBS preschooler app for the Droid! For those geeky smartphone users with kids, PBS has launched Super Why, their first app for the Android. No need to panic iPhone users, the app was made available for your platform last year.
The Super Why app helps kids achieve the power to read with four interactive literacy games plus a virtual sticker book. Children, or bored parents wishing the doctor’s wait list was shorter, can play along with each of the four main characters of the show (Alpha Pig, Princess Presto, Wonder Red, and, Super Why) while practicing their alphabet, rhyming, spelling, writing and reading.
Find other PBS Kids apps here. Fingers crossed more of these apps will be available for Android soon. Click on a photo below to view screen-grabs of the game.
