Running and Exercise-Induced Asthma

Posted Apr 21 2009 4:48pm

I can attest to this: coming back to running from a break with you have EIA really sucks.

Nevermind that I don't run that fast anyway, but I find that the lungs need to be worked almost daily.  Otherwise, your oxygen economy is comprimised in a way that makes it difficult for you to want to continue exercise.

I don't have access to a pool either, so there goes that idea.  But I was born a runner and that's what I like to do.  (Good thing I got out there before the rain came down again!)

For those of you out there with EIA, take heart in that the more you exercise, the better it will get for you.  Just remember to see your doctor if anything gets hinky.
