i have a terrible cough and when i cough or sneeze i get a stabbing pain on the right hand side of my back what is it ?

 when i cough i get a stabbing apin in my back under my right shoulder blade .. its hurting more and more and starting to hurt when i walk does anyone know what it is or what i could do too cure it ??
