Do we need a Black man, a Woman, or a White man for president?

Okay, nice preachy time is over. Now I'm going to rant. I am so pissed and I'm going to tell you why:
I am so F***ing tired of hearing Oprah and other non-celeb black people interviewed on the nightly news say "I'm voting for Obama because he's a BLACK man and I'm black and it's time we had a black president!" I'm equally tired of hearing women say "I voted for Hillary in the primaries because she's a WOMAN and I'm a woman and it's time we had a woman president!"
What the F*** is that all about?
If my husband got up in front of an NBC nightly news camera and said "I'm voting for John McCain because he's a WHITE man and I'm a white man and we need another white president to turn this country around!" he'd be crucified.
If ANYONE made THAT statement, there would be no end to the uproar about what a redneck, insensitive, prejudiced piece of shit they are for saying something so politically incorrect. And yet, it's hunky dorey okey dokey fine for Oprah to get up and say "Obama for president BECAUSE he's a black man."
Unbelievable.
No, folks. What we need is a PERSON of any color, gender, or religion who can do that job. But I guess my last statement must be wrong because all I hear every night on the news is how we need a "black" president or a "woman" president and it's always out of the mouths of the very people who consider themselves the school hall monitors of political correctness.
