Head on over to the cooking blog www.asthmagirlcooks.com for a family favorite. Last fall, Pioneer Woman Posted a recipe for Marlboro Man's favorite cookies. Not being one to leave well enough alone, I changed everything! I really liked how things turned out but felt weird about playing with a recipe on someone else's cooking blog. I asked if she would mind, and Ree thought it would be fun to see how I had ruined changed the recipe. So there you go... Hopefully she won't tell Marlboro Man what I did to his cookies!

It's Contest Time!
I was posting on another blog last week about not liking scary movies... and it's true. I don't understand the concept. I'd much rather laugh when I go to the movies. I'd rather laugh period. So this contest is about laughing... In fact, make me laugh! Well, not me actually although that would be the side effect. Make the judge laugh! The judge for this little endeavor is the already lined up K1. (you said you would... no backing out now!) I'm sure she'll consult with the previously mentioned LHGTUTLATSFU who is now K1BFF. Although not an official judge, I imagine that she will try to sway K1's opinion.
Now, it's important to know at our house we constantly bring quotes from popular culture into our conversations. The goal is to make each other laugh. Certain things are no brainers... like "what are you going to do, bleed on me?". So, you could use:
- favorite funny movie (example: "I loved The Meaning of life! My favorite scene was when death showed up!")
- your favorite movie quotes (example: I loved it when the waiter delivered the wafer thin mint and said "Bon Apitite!")
- your favorite tv quotes (hint- pretty much anything from Seinfeld, Cheers, Earl)
- Bonus points for your funny stories involving media. (example- we were watching Earl and Jim Bob shot oatmeal cookies out his nose!)
You pick the genre and make K1 laugh! Goodness knows there's a ton of material out there! And she's easily tickled....
Now the prize. I'm thinking accessible. So that you could use it no matter where you live. Do you have an email address? Great! The winner will recieve a $25 e-gift card to Amazon dot com delivered directly to their email address! They have great kitchen tools!
