Ironman Wisconsin - Run by Eric .. Patient Expert As I left the women who put sunscreen on me I stopped off to pee in the port-a-potty. This would be the final time I would have to pee. I had peed once during the swim and 3 – 4 times on the bike, mostly during the first loop. I finally crossed the timing mat and hit the split button on my watch. Unlike Lake Placid I was going to keep track o ... Read on »

We didn't meet for our run until 9:30AM since Kristen wanted to sleep in more :) She's not too used to hills so I try to stay away from anything with too many hills. Though I am getting her broken in on hills soon! Anyway, Aliso does ... Read on »

Running by Donna Patient ExpertHealth Maven Last night the thermometer in my car actually read 89 degrees! It was amazing to see that at 7pm -- so I was psyched for my run! LOL -- psyched and run in the same sentence... that's a head-shaker for sure! I met up with my running club for a 40 minute "easy" run. I was doing pretty well until I needed a potty break. :) No matter tho ... Read on »
Running by Weight Master E. Patient ExpertHealth Maven Over the years, running has gotten a bad rap. Many people think that the impact your feet absorb isn't good. This is only a myth. When we were born, our bodies were designed to walk, run and jump. Things such as ballet, yoga, and other exercises that push your joints to the limits are not good for you. Did ya'll know that ballet dancers have a high ... Read on »
Running by Weight Master E. Patient ExpertHealth Maven I mentioned yesterday how I've gravitated to bicycling instead of running, but I do still run at least once a week--sometimes more. When I was in high school, I ran all of the time. What's funny is I was so comptetative, I would kill myself before I'd let someone pass me on the track. Seriously, my side would be hurting, calfs cramping, but I'd st ... Read on »
T Runs On? by Melting Mama Patient ExpertHealth MavenPeople's HealthBlogger Award Nominee Hold your calls to DSS. The espresso was nearly gone, when you drink a cappuccino, that goes first, and what is left is foam, she got the skim milk foam, which I do not like.THEN WTF DO YOU DRINK IT, WOMAN?! Well, BECAUSE? I have to get milk in me somehow, right? I have no Vitamin-D in my body, and milk is chock-fulla the stuff, so when we go ... Read on »
To run or not to run by Amy G. Patient ExpertHealth Maven I miss running. Until this morning the most I had run at one time, for the past 6 weeks, was about 3.5 miles. Sure, I've been beating my brains out swimming and cycling, and adding in some walking when the air quality was vaguely decent, but 3.5 miles. Last year by this time I had run 300 miles more than I've run this year. I miss it. A LOT. ... Read on »
